Regular Seminar Series on Image Processing

In November 2015, we established a new seminar series concerning image analysis. The goal of these seminars is to bring together people in the field of image analysis and create a platform to report and discuss issues concerning the processing and analysis of BioImages .

Aim

We talk about different image processing questions and discuss their solutions using different software.

The seminar is open to everybody. Suggestions and new questions are welcome and can be sent to us (lichtmikroskopie.mtz@tu-dresden.de). 

Structure

• During the first two seminars (kick off seminars)  participants presented individual problems and issues.
• The third seminar "Basics for image analysis" was given by Dr. Peter Dieterich (Institute for Physilogy, TU Dresden).
• The 3D histology software "Voloom" was presented by Dr Andreas Keil from micro dimensions.
• The following seminars will have topics like segmentation (with Arivis, Fiji and Imaris), colocalization, cell tracking ... . The exact details can be found below.
